Kylesa Tour Kick Off Postponed
. All previously purchased tickets will be honored. Now kicking-off by default in the band's home town of Savannah GA @ The Jinx, the tour will be Kylesa's first headlining run in support of their new release on Season of Mist, Spiral Shadow. Support will be provided on the two legs of the tour by Zoroaster (Jan 14 - Jan 20), Rosetta (Jan 21 - Jan 29) and Fight Amp opening all dates. This co-ed quintet essentially came from a Crust Punk background, but were also heavily influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple. In 2010 Kylesa joined forces with international label Season of Mist to release Spiral Shadow. The band's eclectic mixture of tastes and influences converged to form what many have regarded to be their most innovative record to date. Recorded at the Jam Room in Columbia, SC last summer, the eleven-track album was once again produced by band member and renowned producer Phillip Cope (Baroness, Withered, Dark Castle). Blowing minds over and over again with each listen, Spiral Shadow has received glowing reviews and the album has proven once again that Kylesa are and always have been at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of heavy music. Kylesa recently completed a triple co-bill tour of the US with High On Fire and Torche which included stops at Riot Fest, "The Fest" in Gainsville and ended at Fun Fun Fun Festival in Austin. The Georgia band is also slated to perform at The Soundwave Festival (Feb. 2011 touring festival in Australia with Iron Maiden as headliner) and will also make appearances in New Zealand (alongside Melvins and High on Fire), Maryland Death Festival, Hellfest (with Ozzy Osbourne as headliner), and many other high profile festivals worldwide to be announce soon. 01/14/11 The Jinx, Savannah GA w/Zoroaster, Fight Amp
