Bret Michaels Recovering At Home After Heart Surgery

. (hennemusic) Bret Michaels is now recuperating at home after being released Wednesday from a Phoenix hospital following heart surgery to repair a hole in his heart.

The Arizona Republic reports Monday's operation at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center was a success, and now the Poison rocker must lay low for a few weeks to recover fully.

"Bret's procedure had excellent results," said Dr. Mansour Assar, interventional cardiologist at St. Joseph's, in a statement. "Because of the successful outcome and Bret's determination, I believe he will be able to return to normal activity within weeks." more on this story
