John Lennon's Abbey Road Suit Loses 80K at Auction (A Top Story)
. The white, two-piece suit Lennon wore on the cover of the Beatles' "Abbey Road" album sold during Saturday's auction by Braswell Galleries of Norwalk, Conn. Interesting to note that the Abbey Road suit has gone down in value; it last sold for $120,000 back in 2005. The unknown seller reportedly decided to put the item up for auction after experiencing some economic hardship, so while picking up some cash flow, he/she has unfortunately lost almost 80K with the resell. Ouch! - That wasn't the only Lennon collectable auctioned off hennemusic is an official news provider for the Day in Rock. Preview and Purchase Beatles CDs |
