Snoop Dogg, Far East Movement, LMFAO Headed To Isle of MTV
. Rapidly rising British girl band, Parade, opened the show with Yeah 3x. Despite missing band member Lauren sadly at home with severe muscle bruising following a recent stage accident the group set the stage alight with their sexy dance routines, exhilarating live vocals and unique style of glittery make up, belting out tracks such as Perfume and Ticking On It, and ending their set with a memorable rendition of their debut single, Louder, from their eponymous album, Parade. LMFAO rocked the island of Malta when they took to the stage, with the audience partying to the infectious hip hop/electronica beats of hits including Party Rock Anthem, Champagne Showers and I'm in Miami, Trick. The band were greeted by an instantaneous and tumultuous roar from the crowd on hearing the lyrics change to "I'm in Malta, Trick" at points during the performance. The duo's antics definitely made the audience 'laugh their fat asses off' with their dancing robot on stage and simultaneous stage dives into the partying crowd below. Champagne and dancing heads appeared to be the theme of the night, as Far East Movement provided the soundtrack to their unique dancing Monkey Head in Malta - normally worn by their very own DJ Virman. Dressed in their uniform of stylish shades, skinny ties and shiny blazers they took the night to a new level with the hypnotic electronic energy of hits such as Like A G6, Girls on the Dance Floor and Rocketeer. In a brilliant and unique musical twist, LMFAO reappeared on stage with Far East Movement to literally 'wet' the audience's appetite for summer tunes, spraying their fans with champagne during hit track, Go Ape. As Snoop Dogg walked on stage to the rousing sound of dramatic Carmina Burana and rapturous applause, a fantastic fireworks display of colour and sparkle erupted into the Maltese night sky to set the scene for an hour-long performance of both classics such as Beautiful, Drop It, Gin and Juice and What's My Name?, plus brand new hits including Sweat and Boom. With dynamic laser lights shooting across the stage adding to the explosive atmosphere, the crowd were treated to a surprise finale when Snoop Dogg was joined on stage by Far East Movement and together they performed their infamous collaboration, OMG.
