Mike Portnoy Never Returning To Dream Theater?
. Mangini was named as sticksman for the prog metal outfit after Portnoy sensationally quit last year. He asked to rejoin soon afterwards but Mangini had already been given the role. But since then Portnoy and guitarist John Petrucci have both said it's likely they'll work together again in the future. That doesn't concern Mangini, who tells Radio Metal: "I don't feel like it's hanging over my head. The reason why is I like Mike very much. He's a friend and I have new brothers in Dream Theater, and when you love somebody you let them do what they need to to. "I feel very comfortable I'm in the band for good.
