Scissor Sisters Wish They Were British

(Gibson) Scissor Sisters' frontwoman Ana Matronic has said that playing in London again this week "felt like coming home" because British people appreciate something that is "challenging."

"I wish we could be British so we could win the Mercury Music Prize," She told Metro.co.uk. "There is an aspect of British culture that is very different to Americans. If Britons see something they don't understand or something that is challenging they walk toward it instead of running away. Britain did that with us.

"They saw this band of freaks and went, 'What is this all about?' When they got to know us, they liked us and found we are about a lot of the same things that they are about." more on this story
