Young The Giant Hitting the Road With Incubus

06/03/2011
.
Incubus have tapped Young The Giant to provide them sole-support on their late summer/early fall tour.

Young The Giant will jump on the tour on the August 30th in Columbus, Ohio, and then wind through the country with Incubus for several weeks, playing amphitheatre venues, wrapping up on October 9th in San Francisco.

Young The Giant are planning several performances at a series of festivals including KROQ-LA's Weenie Roast June 4, Live 105's BFD on June 5th, Summerfest in Milwaukee July 5, main stage of Lollapalooza in August and Austin City Limits in September. They also appeared at Sasquatch last weekend.

Young The Giant are touring in support of its self-titled debut that includes the song "My Body" which was a Top 5 single on the Alternative Radio Charts.

Even rock icon Morrissey was impressed by Young The Giant's performance on Later With Jules Holland, and expressed his fandom via a note posted on a Morrissey Zine website: "I could break down with happiness at the new debut CD by Young The Giant. It is the whole thing ... it is the perfect tone ... and Sameer's voice is unbreakable. If there is any justice in the world (and we all know there isn't) Young The Giant will own most of it by August... Every three thousand years, a band comes along who restore that precious component of faith."
