John Paul White (one half of The Civil Wars) was inspired to action after witnessing the devastation first hand in his home of Florence, Alabama. White states, "The devastation around here can't be summed up very easily; not in words, pictures, or video. It's everywhere we lookthe lines at the gas pumps, the lines at the hotels, the desperation for generators, water, non-perishable food. I, just like everyone else here, have close friends and family that have lost everything."
