SoundCheck Hollywood Opening Delayed Until Record Store Day
. The hype behind this opening and the slew of RSVP's for the big Asking Alexandria and I See Stars' signings tomorrow forced city officials to step in and delay this event for another few weeks. However, on National Record Store Day (April 16th) the store will be cleared and well primed to launch the biggest celebratory occasion that the Sunset Strip hasn't seen in years. SoundCheck Hollywood promises this will be a night for the ages for all metal/hard rock fans. That day the store will be giving away free tickets to the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, the Winds Of Plague CD Release show at The Key Club on April 19th, Summer Slaughter and Warped Tour, as well as an ESP guitar. SoundCheck Hollywood (located at 8872 Sunset Blvd.) is essentially a lifestyle music store that will feature CDs, Vinyl and DVDs from all artists spanning the spectrum of the metal/underground rock genres as well as limited edition merch that will cover the walls. SoundCheck Hollywood will truly separate itself from any other store with the unique meet and greet opportunities with bands that takes place in the "backstage" of the store which will differ greatly from your normal autograph signings. Founder Ash Avildsen states: "We want to create an intimate environment that no other store has ever offered fans when they go to meet their favorite artists at a signing. SoundCheck's backstage will be far different from your typical "move-it-along" setting, i.e. having a line of people looking over your shoulder while you are sharing your coveted moment with the band you came to meet.. and for those waiting in line, free Guns N Roses and Royal Rumble pinball!!!"
