Metal Church Makes Grandma Want To Dance
. Beverly Wilson has been praising God every Sunday at St John's United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas, for decades. But when young pastor Jason Houlihan introduced the metalcore worship format, Beverly went along to show her support and vows she'll keep going back. Since it launched three years ago the metal service has attracted a conjuration aged between 16 and 26. Pastor Houlihan says: "It's been a way to connect with people who wouldn't otherwise come to church." Afterwards he invites anyone with any concerns about their lives to wait behind and chat. "We'll just hash it out. We might not always agree, but we respect each other." But senior citizen Beverly's blessing represents approval which crosses the generations. She says: "I like the enthusiasm they put into it. They put their whole heart and soul into it. I wanted to get up and dance." more on this story RockNewsDesk.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
