Mastodon Just Making Trippy Videos They Don't Trip

(Banana 101.5) If you've seen any of Mastodon's videos created in conjunction with the new album 'The Hunter', you might think the guys are partaking in hallucinogenics. In our interview with bassist Troy Sanders he lets us know their stance on LSD and explains what 'Curl of the Burl' has to do with crystal meth. Here is part of the interview:

?: There's a lot of trippy stuff going on in the video that came along with the full stream — 'The Hunter Visualizer'. Are you guys big fans of LSD?

Troy: Well we have been in the past. It's definitely taken part in carving out who we are as individuals — but to this day –no, that's not a part of our lifestyle. Kind of too dangerous and crazy to do at this point in your life in our opinions. When our music is streaming if you can add any type of visual — obviously we didn't have the time or the energy to make 13 music videos to go along with [it]. Our friends at Warner Bros. were able to help us piece together some sort of visual aspect to enhance the listening experience.
