Ume was personally selected by Jane's frontman Perry Farrell to perform at the SOLD OUT concert.

Guitarist/singer Lauren Larson describes the exciting phone call from Perry: "My cell phone rang while we were sitting by the dumpsters outside a club in Jacksonville, FL eating peanut butter on saltines. I've been dreaming of playing Lollapalooza ever since I was a kid in the early 90's wearing my brother's over-sized Lollapalooza shirts. To be called by the artist who started it all is surreal. One of the symbolisms of the word "ume" is perseverance and devotion. I'm glad we've stuck with this and never given up on our dreams." - more on this story
