.
(Gibson) This year saw the release of Not Your Kind of People, the first new studio album from Garbage in seven years.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the band reveals that they are already set to record new material.

According to drummer Butch Vig, the band are, "gonna do some recording in January, early February."

But Garbage are not setting out to record a full album of songs, but rather a handful of tracks to be released digitally.

Singer Shirley Manson said: "Historically, we've worked slow because we've toured so much we go and spend a year making a record, then we go back out on the road. Now we realize we can do two or three tracks, release these tracks and then go on the road." more on this story
