(hennemusic) Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones sat down for an in-depth interview with Charlie Rose on Friday's edition of "CBS This Morning".

The band discussed their career and receiving the Kennedy Center Honors, which also airs on CBS on December 26.

Discussing the band's 2007 reunion show, Plant said, "By song number three, I think we knew that ... we were on it".

"It was the perfect opportunity to go out there ... and show why we were who we were," Page added.

And while the band has no plans to reunite for a tour, they're confident in their place in rock history.

"It's such a textbook for young musicians," Page said, before adding, "I would say ... without being conceited here ... but yeah, it was the best band." more on this story
