E Street Band Recruit Clarence Clemons' Nephew (Top 12 of Feb. 2012)

.
(Gibson) E Street Band Recruit Clarence Clemons' Nephew was a top 12 rock story of Feb. 2012: Jake Clemons, the nephew of late E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons, will be touring with Bruce Springsteen this year.

Jake will be handling sax duties as part of a five-piece horn section that is joining Bruce and the E Streeters during their Wrecking Ball tour, according to Rolling Stone. It's not yet clear if Jake and the other players will perform with The Boss during his Grammy Awards appearance on Sunday.

The news resolves the speculation over how (or if) the band would attempt to fill the shoes of the "Big Man," who died last year. The horn section will include Jake, Clark Gayton (trombone), Curt Ramm (trumpet), Barry Danielian (trumpet) and Eddie Manion (saxophone). more on this story
