Black Crowes Reunion Includes Free App and New Live Album

12/27/2012
.
The Black Crowes have followed up their Christmas reunion announcement with more details including news of a new live album and a free mobile web app.

The band announced on Christmas day that they were ending their hiatus and launching a UK and North American tour in 2013.

On Wednesday, the band announced that they will also be releasing a vinyl version of the live album, Wiser For The Time, on March 19th.

The eight sides on four vinyl albums will contain 26 songs--15 acoustic and 11 electric--from the band's five-night, sold-out NYC performances in the fall of 2010. These never-released-before versions will also be available as a double album digital download, according to the announcement.

The band also announced that they are giving away a free mobile web app on their website here. It includes a free download of the acoustic version of "Under a Mountain" (the Three Snakes and One Charm song which contains the lyrics "Lay down with number 13") performed live in NYC in 2010.

Lay Down With Number 13 is what the band has dubbed their reunion tour which kicks off on March 24 in Manchester in the U.K. and will run through May 4 in New Orleans. .
