TroubleCure Records have set a April 10th release date for Joel Henderson's new album Locked Doors & Pretty Fences.This is his first full-length, full-band CD and the follow up to the intimate Always Willing to Take Me In released in 2011 and The High Risk EP that was released a few years earlier.
Guest players include Ric Hordinski (Over The Rhine) on guitar; Byron House (Band of Joy) on bass guitar; Jason Wilber (John Prine) on guitars; Devon Ashley (Lemonheads, Over The Rhine) on drums; Heidi Gluck (Juliana Hatfield, Some Girls) on vocals, bass, piano; and more.
The 11 original tracks on Locked Doors & Pretty Fences were produced, recorded and mixed by Paul Mahern (Afghan Whigs, Iggy Pop, Lisa Germano) at White Arc Studios in Bloomington, Indiana. Mahern is best known for work with John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, T. Bone Burnett and Over the Rhine. It was mastered by Roger Seibel at SAE Mastering in Phoenix, Arizona.
