NAMM and the Make-A-Wish Foundation will fulfill the dream of a heart transplant patient who wants to meet and shadow renowned rock music photographer Robert M. Knight.

The meeting will take place from 3:00 6:00 pm on Friday, January 20 at The NAMM Show, one of largest music instruments and products trade shows in the world that showcases more than 1,400 exhibitors.

19 year-old Kevin Grissom, a North Carolinian, received a heart transplant last May and has always admired Knight's work, which includes a collection of photography chronicling the Who's Who of music. Knight began his career in the late 60s and has photographed Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Maroon 5 and more.

Mr. Grissom will travel to Anaheim and "shadow" Knight for the afternoon as he captures the sights and sounds of the greatest music show in the world including a Show Floor buzzing with A-Z music instruments, celebrity sightings, concerts, music demos and more. As part of his experience, Fender has also agreed to donate a guitar to Kevin.

John Mayer, one of many artists who has been captured with Knight's lens, will appear at The NAMM Show's Media Preview Day on Wednesday, January 18 from 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center. Media Preview Day offers access to the Music App. & Gaming Pavilion and gives the media a pre-Show advantage of accessing the newest musical instruments and products of the future. This year, The NAMM Show will welcome more than 90,000+ registrants from over 90 countries.
