Pre-Teen Musician Receives World Record Award

(Gibson) Eleven-year-old Ethan Bortnick, a Baldwin Piano artist, received his official Guinness World Records certificate for being the youngest musician to headline a solo concert tour (at 9 years, 9 months and 9 days old) at The Gibson/Baldwin Showroom in New York City on Thursday, July 25.

Ethan, who began playing piano at just 3 years old, was composing his own music at the age of 5. He headlined his first show at age 6 and continued to play as the headline artist at shows around the world until he started his own concert tour in 2010. On October 3, 2010, at the age of 9 years, 9 months and 9 days, Ethan started his Musical Time Machine tour at the Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville, Illinois, and became the youngest musician to headline a solo tour.

Now 11, Ethan has performed all over the world with renowned artists such as Elton John, Barbra Streisand and Beyonc�. Now that he has a Guinness World Records title, Ethan says: "My biggest goal is to help as many people as I can." more on this story
