. The band has parted amicably with their friend J. Clyde Paradis, who recorded and toured behind last year's album, The Wretch (Rise Above Records). Fouts drummed for the band on previous Gates albums Conqueror (2008) and Hymns of Blood and Thunder (2009). Band founder Karl Simon (guitar/vocals) and Jason McCash (bass/backing vocals) invited Fouts to fill-in for their upcoming tour with Hammers of Misfortune, which kicks off July 18 in Chicago.
