Singled Out: Electric Sun's Don't Look Back
. It might have been the first song written for The Gilded Cage, which set the tone musically and lyrically for the EP's mood. I describe the sound of the song as loud, fuzzy, and crisp. The lyrics came secondary, and reflected the size and positivity of the melodies. I wanted a feel-good/anthemic track that is as appropriate in front of 200 people in a NYC club as a chanting European soccer-sized arena crowd. Ole Ole! Hearing is believing.
