Eric Burdon Teams With The Greenhornes For New EP Release
. The EP will be released on 180 gram vinyl only on Record Store Day's "Black Friday" (November 23rd) on Readymade Records. The album will be released digitally on November 27th. This collaboration was Brendan Benson's inspired idea to reinvigorate the sound of The Animals. After Benson performed with Burdon at SXSW 2012, he immediately knew that the voice of The Animals would be a perfect match for the Greenhornes and brought the two parties together in Nashville at Welcome to 1979 studio. Benson had previously worked with The Greenhornes rhythm section in their band The Raconteurs and also as a producer on their 2005 EP East Grand Blues. The week following SXSW Benson, Burdon and The Greenhornes hunkered down at Nashville's Welcome to 1979 studio and produced the four song EP. This four song EP, recorded in a day and a half, is a result of an immediate and simultaneous connection.
