antiMusic Travel Editor Kevin Wierzbicki tells us about what we can expect at The Virginia Film Festival in Charlottesville, which is taking place on November 1 - 4, 2012:

The Virginia Film Festival will screen more than 120 films this year at various venues around Charlottesville, located in the heart of the state about an hour outside of Richmond and about two hours away from Washington, D.C.

Films of special interest to music fans include the documentaries Don't Stop Believin', about how Arnel Pineda, formerly the front man for a Filipino Journey cover band, became the lead singer of Journey, I Am Not a Hipster which is set in San Diego's indie music and art scene and Hardcore Norfolk: A Story of Rock'n'Roll Survival.

As for feature films, music fans will want to check out A Late Quartet, about a New York-based string quartet called The Fugue that stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Christopher Walken and Not Fade Away, starring James Gandolfini and Brad Garrett and about a group of friends who form a rock band. Steve Van Zandt produces the Not Fade Away soundtrack.

Boyd Tinsley, violinist for the Dave Matthews Band, also makes his debut as a filmmaker this year with the music-laden Faces in the Mirror.
