Rick Ross' Rape Lyric Controversy Escalates
Because Ross is a spokesperson for Reebok, some concerned individuals and rights groups have taken Reebok to task for the rappers lyrics.Ultra Violate claims to represent 400,000 men and woman who aim to "combat sexism everywhere," will present over 71,000 signatures to Reebok urging the sneaker company to drop their association with him.
"In remaining silent, Reebok is using it's brand to promote rape," said Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet in a statement. "Reebok and Rick Ross have crossed a line not only does Ross brag about drugging and raping a woman, he is pushing the idea that if you don't use the word 'rape' it doesn't count. We are fed up and disgusted with Reebok, and Thursday we will bring this fight to their front steps."
Ross appeared on Rocko's latest single "U.N.E.N.O.," in which he raps about slipping a girl a "molly" (MDMA) tab without her knowledge and later having sex with her. more on this story
