. Shot in Tokyo, Japan, the video takes a page right out of a modern children's TV show with colorful costumes, alien creatures, and a keyboard-player-attacking octopus. And what music video would be complete without a T-Rex? and unlike most high-profile music videos, Muse did not contract outside help. The band was responsible for the entirety of the process; writing, production, direction and editing was all handled in-house. "Panic Station" is one of only three studio-recorded songs with swearing in it ("Crying Shame" and "Hidden track").
