Magenta Pay Homage To Rockers That Died at 27 With New Album

(Prog) Magenta will release new album The Twenty Seven Club on September 2, the Welsh outfit have confirmed and composer Rob Reed promises it's a return to their prog roots.

"Only a few people have heard it thus far, but they've all agreed it's the best Magenta album to date," he reports. "It's been five years in the making and I've tried to take the best elements of all the previous albums to craft the best collection of songs I could. I think this has been achieved."

The Twenty Seven Club is named after the group of artists who died at that age, including Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain. more on this story
