(Radio.com) Breakout DJ/producer Zedd, still riding high on the success of his single "Clarity," had the launch of his current U.S. "Moment of Clarity" tour marred after a concertgoer died and two more were hospitalized from apparent drug overdoses.

According to the CBS Boston, emergency services were called to the House of Blues in Boston at 12:42 a.m. yesterday morning (August 28), with a female attendee being pronounced dead on arrival and another female and a male admitted to Beth Israel Hospital in serious condition.

"Last evening, there were guests at our venue in need of medical treatment during the performance," said House of Blues spokesperson Jay Anderson. "They were assisted by Boston EMS as well as on-site emergency medical personnel and then transported to local medical facilities.

"One individual has unfortunately passed away and our thoughts go out to their family and friends for their loss. This matter is under investigation and we are continuing to work with local officials," he added. "As always, the safety of our guests is our top priority."

Police report that none of the three people knew each other, and so far the drugs in question have been classified only as "unknown substances." more on this story
