The rapper took to Twitter on August 22 to announce that he was offering $50,000 "to the best chick that can twerk," generating outrage from a range of pundits, including one who was moved to offer up a list of alternative scholarship competitions in lieu of "perpetuating misogynistic narratives in hip hop and pop culture," such as music production prowess and that old standby, good grades.
