Dolly Parton, Rolling Stones Recordings Among Grammy Hall Induction

(Radio.com) On Wednesday (Dec. 4), the Grammy Hall of Fame released 27 singles and albums that will be inducted next year. The 27 inductees range from Dolly Parton's "Jolene"and The Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women" to Sam Cooke's "Wonderful World" and The Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight." U2's album The Joshua Tree made the cut as did Kris Kristofferson's Kristofferson.

The GRAMMY Hall of Fame was established in 1973 to honor recordings of lasting qualitative or historical significance that are at least 25 years old.

According to GRAMMY.org, inductees are selected by a "special member committee of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts."
