Travie McCoy Was Excited To Work With Jason Mraz

(Radio.com) Travie McCoy wants you to know his new song "Rough Water," which features Jason Mraz, isn't the lead single from his upcoming album. In fact, it probably won't even end up on the follow-up to his 2010 solo debut, Lazarus, which spawned the hit song "Billionaire" and gave notice to a little artist named Bruno Mars.

McCoy though is most excited about being able to work with Mraz. The "I Won't Give Up" singer ended up on the track thanks to "Rough Water" producer and co-writer Benny Blanco. He played an early demo of the song for Mraz, who liked what he heard and laid down a guitar part and hook.

"I'm stoked to finally get to work with him, I've been a fan of his forever," McCoy confessed. "His voice is one of a kind. 'I'm Yours,' that was me and my girlfriend at the time's song. We actually went on vacation together in Hawaii and I think that was the only song that we played." more on this story
