(Radio.com) How does a someone from Hawaii gear up for the chilly February weather of New Jersey? No, this isn't the beginning of a terrible joke, it's a legitimate question for this year's Super Bowl halftime performer, Bruno Mars.

The Hawaiian crooner who will take the outdoor stage at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. for Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2 said he's aware that it's going to be cold out. "Everyone's putting the fear of God in me like there's going to be a blizzard," Mars told the Associated Press (via Billboard). "I'm not going to know until I get there I'm not trying to hype myself up too much."

But the singer came up with one way he could possibly keep warm: "I'm going to wear a beekeeper suit, I don't know." Adding, "You know what, it's awesome. even if I have to build a chimney onstage, perform around a fire, I'll do it."

No matter how low the temperatures drop this February, Mars is excited to have the chance to perform to such a large crowd. more on this story
