Ed Sheeran Plays High School

(Radio.com) There were only around 550 teenage girls in the auditorium at the Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA on Thursday afternoon, but the excitement and sound they put out could have filled the TD Garden, some 20 miles to the north in Boston.

They had every right to be excited their school had come in first place during the Karson & Kennedy Koats for Kids drive and Grammy Award nominee Ed Sheeran was stopping by their school to congratulate them on their success.

The tight-knit all-girls Catholic high school in Hingham collected almost 3,000 coats to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Boston.

More than 25 schools around the greater Boston area participated, bringing in over 12,000 coats throughout the campaign. But the students of Notre Dame Academy came out on top, and earned their school a concert from Ed Sheeran, who himself is only days away from gracing the GRAMMY stage in Los Angeles.
