Def Leppard Celebrate Pyromania's 30th Anniversary In The Studio

Def Leppard's Joe Elliott, Rick Savage and Phil Collen celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Pyromania" on the latest episode of In The Studio.

The album proved a massive success for the band and would have been the best selling album of the year had it not been up against Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

During the interview frontman Joe Elliott discussed with the show's host Redbeard the challenges the band faced recording the album.

"About halfway through the Pyromania album I first noticed that it was getting difficult to create something that was as good as the top notch artists. We weren't that little band from Sheffield anymore, we had to be better and bigger than Boston, Foreignerů you name it." You can stream the entire episode here.
