TLC Biopic Stars Announced

The new TLC biopic "Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story" will begin production next month and producers have announced the main casting for the film.

Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins will be portrayed by Drew Sidora (Step Up, Never Die Alone), Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes will be played by Lil Mama, and KeKe Palmer (Barbershop 2, American Idol spin off American Juniors) will take on the role of Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.

VH1 have hired Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins to be consultants and executive producers for the film.

"We were pleased to learn that production would take place here in Atlanta because it keeps everything true to form. The group was formed here, and Atlanta was the backdrop for so many things we experienced, good and bad as a group. We really want fans to experience our story in an authentic way," says Chilli.

"There is so much to our story that hasn't been told until this movie, it really has to be done the right way," T-Boz adds. "Fans will be able to really understand the dynamic of the group and why that formula has not been able to be duplicated. It was something truly special."
