(Radio.com) A rare set of 65 never-before-published color photos taken of The Beatles during their 1964 U.S. tour are set to be auctioned off in the U.K., according to BBC News.

Due to the price of color film, most images of the Fab Four taken prior to 1965 were in black and white. The photos being auctioned were taken by Dr. Robert Beck, a physicist and inventor, who died in 2002.

Part of the large collection of photographs and slides left in his Hollywood home after his death were of The Beatles during their 1964 U.S. tour, both on and off stage. more on this story
