(Radio.com) T.I.'s latest album Trouble Man has shot the rapper back into the spotlight. Though he had been famously busted for buying illegal weapons, he recently offered his take on the latest gun debate just in time for Vice President Joe Biden's assessment.

In 2009, T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) was sentenced to a year and a day for illegal possession of machine guns and silencers. He was arrested in 2007 just hours before taking the stage at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. These days, he advocates a refreshing the gun laws, up to a point.

"I think there should be some adjustments made to the criteria that must be made in order for you to be allowed to have [a gun]," T.I. explained to DJ Buck & Nancy Barrow of Hartford's 97.3. "The complete overall ban of firearms [is] a bad idea simply because if you do that, then you say the only people who are going to have guns, are the ones willing to break the law to keep them. That means you are putting the guns in the hands of only the criminals." more on this story
