MMG Rapper Rockie Fresh Releases New Mixtape
. The set is chock full of grooves, but one song stands above others in Fresh's mind. He sees the collaborative effort of "Life Long," which features Rick Ross and Nipsey Hussle, as the song that hits home. "[It's] just coming from a place where so many people are dying young," he told Radio.com, "Even in the music, we are being promoted to die young. When I look at Ross, who is much older, [seeing] the things he achieved, if he stopped he probably wouldn't have seen things he's seen. Same with Nipsey. Even myself, I thought about quitting. If I would have stopped I never would have had a deal." In July, 2012 Rick Ross' Maybach Music announced the signing of Fresh to the MMG family which also includes Meek Mill, Wale, Omarion and Stalley. Despite the Rick Ross love, Fresh's first big co-sign didn't come from the rap world but through his relationship with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, with whom he toured. Joel & Benji Madden of Good Charlotte also took an early interest in his career. Read more and check out the video here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
