Norah Jones To Perform At The Oscars (Recap)

.
On Tuesday Norah Jones To Perform At The Oscars was a top story. Here is the recap: Norah Jones will be performing her Oscar nominated theme song for the movie "Ted" during this year's Academy Awards.

The song, "Everybody Needs A Best Friend," features lyrics by the film's director, Seth MacFarlane, and music by Walter Murphy, and has been nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song.

Jones will perform the song during the televised broadcast on Sunday, February 24, on ABC at 7pm ET / 4pm PT.

She will also be performing the song on NBC's Tonight Show With Jay Leno on February 8.

The performance comes on the heels of the release of Jones' new digital EP, Little Broken Hearts Remix EP (Blue Note), which features all seven of the remixes done for songs from Jones' Danger Mouse produced album Little Broken Hearts.

The EP includes the four by TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek ("Good Morning," "She's 22," "Take It Back," and "After The Fall") that were released on a limited edition 10" for the Record Store Day "Back To Black" promotion in November.

It also features two new remixes ("Say Goodbye" and "Travelin' On") by Jose Padilla as well as Peter Bjorn and John's new version of "Miriam." - more on this story
