Beck Releases New Single, 'I Won't Be Long'
. According to a press release, Beck premiered the song during a set at Paris' Days Off Festival on July 2, passing out stickers to the crowd with information on accessing the new tune online. Like the previously issued "Defriended," there are no plans as yet for either song to be included on any upcoming Beck albums. A limited edition 12-inch vinyl version of "I Won't Be Long" is scheduled for a July 8 release date, and will include a special extended mix that clocks in at just shy of 15 minutes. Beck's appearance in Paris is just one of a handful of "special acoustic sets with minimal accompaniment" for the artist this summer, which also include stops at Bob Dylan's AmericanaramA touring fest in New York (July 27) and the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island (July 28).
