Scotty McCreery Vs Former Manager
. On July 3, music industry veteran Todd Cassetty filed a lawsuit in Davidson County Chancery Court in Tennessee. According to the Nashville Post, the lawsuit claims that McCreery never compensated Cassetty after he took over managing the American Idol winner's career. Court documents list Scotty McCreery, his mother Judith McCreery, and Scotty's production company Blue Crew Productions, Inc. as defendants. McCreery signed with Cassetty Entertainment in October 2012 after fulfilling his contractual obligations to American Idol. Cassetty claims, however, that McCreery never provided compensation. "Celebrities should be required to pay their bills, just like anyone else," his lawsuit reads. Scotty McCreery addressed Cassetty's accusations in a press statement: "There is no truth to these allegations. I have offered to pay Todd more than once, but he wanted an unreasonable amount for only five months of work. Anyone who knows me knows how I conduct myself, so I am not worried they will believe any of this. This is just an attempt to embarrass me and my family. The facts will come out when we have our day in court." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
