Lil Twist Arrested For DUI In Justin Bieber's Car

. (Radio.com) Early Thursday morning (July 11), Justin Bieber's friend and rapper Lil Twist was caught and arrested while driving Bieber's car. Radio.com spoke with Steve Whitmore, a spokesperson from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, about Lil Twist's arrest.

"About 3:26 this morning we saw him driving at a high rate of speed between 60 and 70 miles an hour in a 30 mile per hour construction zone," Whitmore said. "He ran a red light, we pulled him over and promptly arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence."

According to Whitmore, Lil Twist was driving a car registered in Bieber's name. Twist was cited and released from jail as of 3 p.m. EST and a court date is set for September 11.

Shortly before his arrest, Lil Twist took to Twitter to note that he won't be doing any interviews in the immediate future. He wrote, "ATTN ALL Media outlets...... IM DONE WITH ALL INTERVIEWS FOR A GOOD MINUTE!!! MY MOVEMENT IS ONLY GONNA GET BIGGER!! IF U HAVE ANY..." more on this story
