Jay-Z Changes His Name
. According to Billboard Editor-in-Chief Joe Levy's Twitter account, Jay Z's label Roc Nation alerted him to the official moniker update: "Breaking: Jay Z has dropped the hyphen from his name, according to his label. I am not kidding. (Wish I was.) Copy editors: take note." While Levy's tweet has turned Jay Z's subtle reinvention into legitimate news, the rapper's publicist Jana Fleishman has revealed that the hyphen has been gone longer than the rest of the world might realize. "Dude, we haven't used the hyphen since 2010," Fleishman told Complex in a statement. The story doesn't stop there. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
