Tim McGraw Releases 'Southern Girl' Video
. The song is "just one of my favorite tracks" from Two Lanes of Freedom, McGraw told Radio.com in an interview earlier this year. It's got a groove that he called "breezy" and "funky," noting that the song "has this laid-back feel" but that "there's an intensity to it as well." "Southern Girl" is the fourth single from Two Lanes of Freedom, coming after his recent No. 1 smash "Highway Don't Care" (which featured Taylor Swift and Keith Urban) as well as two songs released last year "Truck Yeah" and "One of Those Nights." "Southern Girl" was written by Jaren Johnston, Rodney Clawson (who also cowrote "One of Those Nights"), and Lee Thomas Miller. "We brought cameras out on the road and turned them around on the crowd," McGraw explained regarding the music video, "and they really helped us capture the fun summer groove of this song."
