(Gibson) Things are going well for Mumford & Sons. After wrapping up their current tour in support of their sophomore release Babel the band plan to take the rest of the year off before regrouping in 2014 to work on album number three, according to Mumford keyboardist Ben Lovett.

When speaking to The Sun, Lovett also shared news about a possible future project for the band - making their own whiskey. Said Lovett: "It'll happen. It takes a few years to make, so we better cracking."

Mumford & Sons aren't the first rockers to get in to the distillery business. For example, there's a Motrhead Bastards Lager, KISS wine, and perhaps most successful of all - Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Tequila. Hagar sold 80% of his interest in the company for a reported $80 million in 2007.

Regarding the next Mumford & Sons album, Lovett says there are no plans yet in terms of what musical direction the band will take: "We're incredibly excited. Our third album can be anything we want it to be." more on this story
