Atlantic City Mayor Sides With Metallica Singer

(Classic Rock) James Hetfield has garnered the support of the mayor at Atlantic City after criticizing the price of hotel rooms in the area. Hetfield recently said Metallica's attempts to keep their Orion festival as cheap as possible for fans were hampered by hotels in Atlantic City, where they held the inaugural event last year.

The price of rooms is one reason the band moved this year's festival to a new city. Hetfield said: "I thought Atlantic City was going to be a lot better than it was. There was some gouging going on in hotels, ripping people off, crap like that."

Mayor Lorenzo Langford has now agreed, and called on the city to be more flexible when it comes to pricing for events like Orion. More rock news.
