Blue October Announce New Album and Tour (A Top Story)
. Up/Down Records has set a August 20th release date for Blue October's seventh studio album, which will be entitled Sway. The band will celebrate the release with a record release show at the House of Blues in Dallas and a series of in-store appearances/acoustic performances. The band recorded the album at the Fire Station Studios in San Marcus, TX and the effort was produced by frontman Justin Furstenfeld and David Castell (who also produced the band's History for Sale and co-produced the Platinum Foiled). Frontman Justin Furstenfeld had this to say, "I had about 60 songs...we ended up recording fifteen and there's thirteen on the album." Justin's brother Jeremy adds, "The band is in a really great space now, everyone is health, happy and doing well. That's changed our point of view, and you can hear that new perspective on the album." Blue October will be hitting the road on September 4th to launch an international concert tour in support of the album and on the trek they will reunite with former guitarist C.B. Hudson who played with them from 2000 until 2010. - more on this story
