Slipknot Drummer Says Live Show Is Like A Blackout (A Top Story)

.
On Friday Slipknot Drummer Says Live Show Is Like A Blackout was a top story. Here is the recap: (Classic Rock) Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison compares his experience of playing live with the band to blacking out and insists there's no such thing as an easy set for them.

They headline Download tonight, four years after a performance that's gone down in festival history as one of the best ever, and three years after the loss of bassist Paul Gray.

"An easy Slipknot show doesn't exist. It's tough but we wouldn't like it if it was easy," Jordison tells MusicRadar. "Once we lock in, it's like I black out; I don't notice any of the pain I might be experiencing. I've got eight other guys to guide with the tempo of the songs. I don't have time to feel any sort of pain or hurt."

But the hard work brings its own reward, he continues. "What's so gratifying about playing a show that intense is when you get off the stage you know you really delivered at the top of your ability and performance. That's what makes it all worthwhile." - more on this story
