Metallica reportedly recorded with Marianne Faithfull. That tape along with recordings including an early version of AC/DC's Thunderstruck, the Spice Girl demo tapes and collaborations between the Chieftains, Mark Knopfler and Paul Brady and between Christy Moore, Bono and the Edge remain unclaimed at a recording studio.
There are more than 1,000 tapes at the Windmill Lane studios in Dublin suburb Ringsend, waiting to be reclaimed, according to The Irish Times.
The paper reports that the tapes date back to the days of analog recording before digital recording became the mainstream and have deteriorated over the years.
"They are probably not of any practical value," Tony Perrey, a producer at the studio told them. "You would only ever get one chance to play them again and that would be under archival conditions."
