Styx Vs Record Label

(Classic Rock) Styx have sued A&M over unpaid royalties and they've accused the record label of constructing a "phoney business model" to disguise how much the band should have been paid.

The veteran outfit allege that for every dollar they've received, they should actually have been given between two and five dollars.

TMZ reports that they want the courts to decide how much they should be paid in damages and that it's likely to be a huge amount. They released eight albums through A&M from 1975′s Equinox to 1990′s Edge Of The Century.

Styx filed paperwork in Los Angeles Country Superior Court last week using their corporate name, Gelderdisk LTD. more on this story
