News of Klum joining the show, following Sharon Osbourne's departure, broke over the weekend when gossip site TMZ posted a photo showing Klum's name along with other judges for show on a stage backdrop.

Klum will not be the only new judge for the program, NBC announced last month that they have recruited former Spice Girls star Mel B to official replace Osbourne.

Klum and Mel B will join existing hosts Howard Stern and Howie Mandel as judges for next season. Klum confirmed the news on Monday with a Twitter post.

She wrote, "Excited 2 join @HowardStern @howiemandel @OfficialMelB & @NickCannon on @nbcagt as new judge! Will be so fun," she tweeted.
